Website in development

So during today's lesson I've been working on my website and adding more features while I wait for the opportunity to take some photos of the band. I've finally managed to add some screen shots of the video to the 'Gallery' page, put in functioning twitter, facebook and myspace links on the 'contact' page as well as setting up an email account for fans to send fan mail to the band (giversmusic@hotmail.com) Which has been tested and works!

There is also now a logo of 'Glassnote Records', which is the label that GIVERS are signed to anyway, and have featured this to give the website a more realistic feel. I've also started to tie in themes between the music video and the website. The main background is of balloons, a key feature that will appear throughout all tasks, and the colour orange, which can be found as a tint throughout the music video, and in balloon colour, and also within the design colours of the website, including font colour.

I've also added in a soundcloud track on the 'Home' page of a different song so to keep fans interested and excited about the band and it's potential next release. The 'Lyrics' page is almost complete, depending whether I decide to include more songs or not, currently there are 3 song lyrics up ('Up, up up' the music video lyrics, 'Atlantic' and 'Saw You First')

I've also updated the 'About the Band' page by including a introductory paragraph about the band in general, and then I shall include photos of individual members and some basic information about each member. I've seen this on several other band websites, specially The Wanted's website. (I would link the page, but you have to be a member to see the content)

On this screen grab you can see a clear image of the member, Nathan, a short bio about himself, his twitter page information, his 'wall' and photos and videos about himself. In the top right hand corner there is also links/photos of the other band members. Although on this page there is a considerable amount of information about the band member, I shall be including a main photo and a short bio, possibly written by the actor themselves as if to give the impression that he/she is talking directly to the fans, giving the band's audience more satisfaction from visiting the page.
